The High Priestess

Today’s card is The High Priestess, the third card in the Major Arcana. The High Priestess is a card that I channel regularly. She lives for herself, listens to her higher self, and seeks answers from within. The card represents themes of intuition, unconscious, inner voice, true self, and hidden answers. The High Priestess encourages you to look inward, to listen to yourself, and to reflect on yourself.

This High Priestess is a wise and intelligent feline, aware of her own worth, and summoning the intuitive and secret powers of the moon. She is wise, keeping secrets, and maintaining full awareness of herself and others. Her third eye is open, and she can see all of the answers within.

The Magician

Not the first tarot card drawing, but we'll be getting more detailed with the cards here! To see The Fool, check out my Instagram!

The Magician is the second card in the Major Arcana, with the assigned number 2. Personally, I love this card. The Magician always fills me with hope, inspiration, and excitement. I also get a bit of an extra boost of motivation when I draw this card.

Upright, The Magician represents manifestation and creation. The Magician is a being that can conjure something from seemingly nothing, and is the master of their own domain. Magic, creativity, conjuring, and manifestation are all potentials to be at play when The Magician is drawn.

This kitty Magician is drawn with the stars of inspiration, a magic wand, a spoon, and a crystal- all sources of focusing and creating something new!

Reversed, the Magician stands in for boredom and lack of focus or lack of inspiration. That creative spark isn't getting ignited.

Aries Season // Spring Has Sprung

Happy Spring! Spring is a favourite season of mine. For whatever reason, I trudge through February and March. Both are always difficult months for me. My pain flares up, I struggle with taking care of myself, I feel thoroughly un-magickal. Spring Equinox and the beginning of Aries season turn that around.

I am an Aries myself, and such an Aries! Do you ever read up about your sign, and then you get salty about your sign because of how scarily accurate it is? That’s me. My Sun is in Aries, My Moon is in Leo, and my Rising sign is Cancer. All are accurate in their own way, but I am definitely an Aries and feel my Aries-ness the strongest. When it’s Aries season, or the Moon is in Aries, I feel more powerful and prepared for what is to come. It’s the fiery boost that I truly need.

The zodiac sign Aries is a fire sign, represented by the Ram. Aries is the first sign in the astrological year, and that first-in-line placement can give the Aries strong leadership skills, and a ‘me first’ attitude. The Ram is stubborn, and determined. Aries is ruled by the planet Mars, which can be associated primarily with war, but this energy also offers a sense of pride, determination, assertiveness, power, control.

Key words: fiery, assertive, bright, ram, knight, adventurous, leader, king, queen, hoof, determined, frolic, bright, burn, ignite, begin, energy, impulse.

Crystals: jasper, carnelian, bloodstone, aventurine

Tarot cards: Knight of Wands, Knight of Cups, Knight of Swords, The Chariot, The Sun

How to Embrace + Channel the Aries Vibe: choose bright, warm colours, like reds and yellows. Let your passions flow. Now is a good time to start projects, focus on things that excite and inspired you. Spend time alone to get back in touch with yourself, and allow some much needed space. Enjoy sports, physical activities, and adventures.

Avoid: playing into negative senses of competitiveness and control. Do your best and play to your strengths, and help those around you, but don’t get hung up on doing the best and being the best!
